A Great and Terrible Beauty tells the story of sixteen-year-old Gemma Doyle, a fiery and feisty redhead who, after her mother's mysterious and tragic death, is moved from her home of India to a strict British boarding school. Once there, Gemma discovers that nothing, not even herself, is what it seems. Eerie, fantastical, and filled with adventure, this book is definitely worth the read.
