this was a great book! i totally understood how McLean was feeling conflicted about her parents divorce, and spending time with both of her parents, and especially when she felt like she had to look out for her dad. McLean and her dad move around a lot because her dads goes to failing restaurants and tries to fix them up. usually mclean is okay with moving around, because she always gets to try being a different person. but once they move to their new home, mclean finally feels like she wants to stay in one place for once, and that probably has a lot to do with dave, her new neighbor.
