Ok, this book was so full of mystery, conspiracy, fate, and romance it made my head spin! With magic everywhere, good vs. evil, and plots to win the throne, how could I put it down? I couldn't. This is an excellent novel and i could read it over and over again. Definatly something to read on a rainy day with nothing to do.
Nalia is the princess of Thorvaldor, or so she thought. Her life was simple as the princess but it could never prepare her for what she was about to be told. The king and queen inform her that she's a false princess, only substituting for their real daughter who was hidden away for protection against a prophecy by the oracle. Nalia, who is now called Sinda, leaves behind everything she's ever know to live with her aunt, her only living relative. Sinda can't seem to do the simplest jobs and her aunt is very hard on her.
Sinda decides to go back to the city after she discovers she has powerful magic in her blood. Sinda and her best friend Kiernan discover there's a plot to get revenge on the throne and must do everything in their power to stop it. Sinda once thought that she was the princess and soon discovers that the supposed-to-be-real princess is fake as well. Sinda says and does things that she knows could mean losing Kiernan's recently announced love for her forever, but she has to save the country from crowning the wrong girl queen. Will she succeed in her quest? Or will she die trying to save what was once her life?
