Princess of Glass

Being the sequal to Princess of the Midnight Ball, I thought this woould be a great book that could take me somewhere else. I was so right! This was equally as good as the first novel, if not better. This is not a continuation of the previous book, but it has some of the same characters and refers back to Princess of the Midnight Ball. This is one of the best books I've ever read.

Princess Poppy was once forced to dance every night for the evil King Under Stone. She never wanted to put on another pair of dancing slippers, but it seems she'll have to if she ever wants to be free. Poppy visits Breton as part of an exchange program to create peace through marriage. Once there, she meets the handsom Prince Christian, whom Poppy has her sights set on. Unfortunately, so does a hopeless maid named Eleanora. Eleanora has no money, yet she wears the most beautiful dresses, slippers, and accesories to all the balls. Poppy tries to figure out how it happens.

Eleanora is feeling unwanted until she meets her so-called godmother, the Corley. Every night before the ball, Eleanora goes to the Corley's palace of glass where her godmother provides fancy gowns and jewels. Along with that, the Corely puts molten glass on her feet for shoes! Soon Eleanora starts to become glass. Poppy knows a curse when she sees one and she has to help Eleanora overcome this one. This book is difficult to put down. it has romance, friendship, and defeating evil. all qualities that make a good book.
