In the second installment in the Mortal Instruments books. This one I must say is probably the one that took me the longest to read and I found the least enjoyable. When Clare's father the evil Valentine returns he is bound to enslave all demons and every shadow hunter. An interesting twist happens to Simon and Clary's relationship.

Also, when Simon must decide how to survive as a vampire a srpising twist happens. This book also puts us right in the middle of the epic love triangle of Jace and Simon. How long will Jace and Clare survive knowing their secret...Cassandra Clare has done a great job writing this amazing tale on supernatural and dystopian. Everyone shoudl read this book.
